Planning Board
Meeting – January 14, 2020
Chairman John Meagher called the meeting
to order at 2:00PM.
Present: Chairman John Meagher, John Montrose, James
Bombace
Chairman Meagher informed the Board that a
Heather Dunn of 28 Henderson Street had applied to the Zoning Board of Appeals
to obtain a variance to operate a Beauty Salon on the premises. Currently the property is zoned R1 – residential
with permission for a “home occupation”.
A copy of the application is attached, and a Public Hearing has been
scheduled for January 21, 2020 at 6PM.

Procedure of the New York Mills Codes states that the Planning Board submits
to the Board of Appeals its opinion on said application or appeal, and the
Planning Board shall submit a report of such advisory opinion prior to the date
of the said hearing.
After discussion and review of the
application the Planning Board issued a memorandum to the Board of Appeals
stating: On the information we received
the Planning Board does NOT recommend granting a use variance for the Beauty
Salon at this time. If any further approvals
are needed it will be under the direction of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Also the Board discussed the application
for a variance for 12 Garden Street. They
also issued this statement with regards to this: On the information we received the Planning
Board does not recommend granting a variance at this time.
Both memorandums were prepared and given
to Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman Richard Lenart.
With no new business the meeting was adjourned... Meeting adjourned at 2:43PM
