October 06, 2008: Regular Board Meeting


Mayor Maciol opened the special meeting at 7:04 PM with the pledge to the flag and roll call.

Present: Mayor Maciol, Trustee Jarosz, Trustee McCoy and Trustee Semeniak, Trustee Bialek arrived at 7:14 PM when the board was in executive session.

Mayor Maciol opened the meeting by stating there are two items on the agenda under old business. One was that of the Americ Associates Investigation which he has no additional statements at this time.

The second was the retirement of Brad Frankland as Chief of Police that will be finalized today.

On a motion by Trustee Semeniak and a second by Trustee McCoy the board entered into executive session to discuss a personnel matter at 7:06 PM.

Trustee McCoy made a motion seconded by Trustee Jarosz to exit executive session at 7:57 PM.

Trustee Bialek made a motion seconded by Trustee Semeniak to re-open the special meeting at 7:57 PM.

On a motion by Trustee Bialek and a second by Trustee Jarosz to accept the agreement by Brad Frankland to retire as the Chief of Police as of 5 PM today and to re-assign him as an Police Officer to strictly be assigned to plain clothes administrative duties only to insure a smooth transition as he retires from this position for up to sixty (60) days from Wednesday October 8th.

Mayor asked if any board members opposed this motion and there were none.

Mayor will communicate directly with Brad regarding any further specifics.

Motion by Trustee Semeniak and a second by Trustee McCoy to adjourn the special meeting at 7:59 PM.
